2017 MICDE Annual Symposium
“From Simple to Complex: A Visual Tour of Fourier Series”
Fourier series representations are one of the most important tools in mathematical analysis. In this camp, we’ll use Fourier series to create art, diagnose disease, and play detective. Students will learn the basic mathematics behind Fourier series and use them to tackle data science problems by starting with simple building blocks and scaling up the complexity. Interest in mathematics and art is encouraged. Knowledge of trigonometry is a suggested prerequisite.
